Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information CrownWidgets collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account info: your Kick user ID and channel slug, your Twitch user ID and login name, and/or an email address if you create a Crown Account.
  • Authentication tokens: OAuth access/refresh tokens for Kick, Twitch, and Spotify, used only to make the API calls your widgets need (e.g., checking sub events, fetching your currently-playing track).
  • Widget data: sub/gift/kicks counts, giveaway entries and winners, day-counter settings, style preferences, and — only for widgets you explicitly turn on — chat messages (Daily Yapper tallies who's chatted most; Combined Chat keeps a short rolling buffer of recent messages to display live; the Giveaway tool checks messages against your chosen keyword).
  • Billing info: if you become a Member, Stripe processes your payment and shares with us only your subscription status and a customer ID — never your full card number.
  • Basic technical data: standard web request logs (e.g., IP address, timestamps) collected by Cloudflare, the infrastructure CrownWidgets runs on, for security and abuse prevention.

2. How We Use It

We use your information solely to operate the Service: authenticating you, running your widgets, processing your Membership subscription, and sending you transactional email (e.g., a login link, a "your Membership is active" confirmation). We do not sell your data, and we do not use your chat or stream data to train any AI/ML model or third-party product.

3. Who We Share It With

  • Kick, Twitch, and Spotify — only the API calls necessary to power widgets you've connected.
  • Stripe — to process Membership payments.
  • Resend — to deliver transactional emails (magic links, confirmations).
  • Cloudflare — our hosting/infrastructure provider.

We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

4. Data Retention

  • Chat messages for Combined Chat are kept only in a short rolling buffer (the most recent ~40 messages) and are continuously overwritten — they're not archived.
  • Daily Yapper tallies reset every day.
  • Sub/gift/kicks counts and giveaway history are kept for as long as your account is active, so your widgets keep working correctly.
  • If you disconnect a platform or delete your account, we delete the associated tokens and stop collecting new data from that platform going forward.

5. Cookies

CrownWidgets sets one cookie, cw_session, so you don't have to log in again every time you visit — it stores a random session token, not your password (CrownWidgets never has a password to store). No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • You can disconnect Kick, Twitch, or Spotify at any time from your dashboard.
  • You can turn off Daily Yapper, Combined Chat, or the Giveaway tool at any time — no data is collected for a widget that's off.
  • To request a copy of your data or have your account and all associated data deleted, email legal@crownwidgets.com — we'll respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

CrownWidgets isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
