Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to CrownWidgets ("CrownWidgets," "we," "us," or "our"), a stream-widget platform for creators at crownwidgets.com (the "Service"), operated as a sole proprietorship. CrownWidgets currently supports Kick and Twitch, with more streaming platforms added over time. By creating an account, connecting a platform, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What CrownWidgets Is

CrownWidgets provides browser-source overlay widgets — sub goals, currency (Kicks/Bits) goals, a daily top-chatter widget, a day counter, a giveaway tool, a Spotify now-playing tag, and Multi-Stream widgets combining data across platforms — that streamers add to their own broadcasting software (such as OBS). CrownWidgets is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kick, Twitch, Spotify, TikTok, or YouTube. Those names belong to their respective owners; CrownWidgets connects to their public developer APIs, nothing more.

3. Accounts

  • You may create an account by connecting your Kick account, connecting your Twitch account, or signing up with an email address (a "Crown Account"). You're responsible for keeping your dashboard link confidential — anyone who has it can control your widgets — and for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use CrownWidgets, and you represent that you have the right to connect any Kick, Twitch, or Spotify account you link to it.
  • One account per person or channel. Creating duplicate accounts to abuse the giveaway or Membership systems isn't allowed.

4. Membership

  • CrownWidgets offers a free tier and a paid "Member" tier ($4.99/month at time of writing, subject to change with notice) that unlocks additional customization and the Multi-Stream widgets.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. CrownWidgets never sees or stores your card details.
  • Membership renews automatically until canceled. You can cancel any time from your dashboard's Membership card — you'll keep Member access through the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If we change the price, we'll give you notice before it applies to your next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use CrownWidgets to violate the terms of service of any platform it connects to (currently Kick, Twitch, and Spotify);
  • Abuse the giveaway or chat-tracking features to run fraudulent or misleading promotions;
  • Attempt to access another creator's account, dashboard, or overlay data without authorization;
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or distribute unlawful content through Combined Chat, Daily Yapper, or the giveaway tool;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its APIs — including scraping, excessive automated requests, or attempting to bypass rate limits or the Membership gate.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Third-Party Services

CrownWidgets connects to third-party services to provide the Service — currently Kick, Twitch, and Spotify for streaming/platform data, Stripe for payments, and Resend for email delivery, with additional streaming platforms added over time. Your use of those platforms is separately governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy, or any changes they make to their APIs that affect CrownWidgets' functionality.

7. Your Content

You retain all rights to your stream, chat, and channel data. By using CrownWidgets, you grant us a limited license to process that data (e.g., chat messages, sub events, viewer counts) solely to operate the widgets you've enabled. We don't sell your content or use it to train any third-party product.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times — it depends in part on third-party APIs (Kick, Twitch, Spotify) outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrownWidgets and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost revenue, lost data, or a missed stream moment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose (or $0 if you're on the free tier).

10. Termination

You may stop using CrownWidgets and disconnect your platforms at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practical.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
